CE 207 on a Worcester Bosch almost always means the water pressure in the heating system has dropped too low for the boiler to run safely. Look at the pressure gauge on the front or underneath. When cold, most boilers want somewhere around one bar.

Topping up once is normal. Needing to top up again and again means water is escaping somewhere. That is worth finding before it causes damage. Check your manual for your exact model.

In Coventry, older houses in Earlsdon and Foleshill often have long pipe runs under timber floors. A slow leak there can go unnoticed for weeks. A falling gauge is often the first sign.

What's involved

Our Worcester Bosch CE 207 Fault Code in Coventry

Read the gauge first

If the needle sits well under one bar with the heating off, the code is telling the truth. The manufacturer sticker inside the case gives the exact figure for your boiler.

Topping up with the filling loop

Worcester boilers have a filling loop or key underneath. Your manual shows how to use it. Fill slowly to the recommended pressure, close it fully, then reset.

Where the water goes

Look for a dripping copper pipe on the outside wall, a weeping radiator valve, or a tired expansion vessel. The outside pipe is the most common and the easiest to spot.

When it keeps coming back

A system that loses pressure every week or two has a leak or a failing vessel. Refilling forever brings in fresh water. Fresh water brings corrosion and sludge.

How the leak is found

The engineer checks the pressure over a few minutes, then looks at the valves, joints and vessel. Where needed, the system is pressure tested. Most leaks are found in one visit.

What to send us

A photo of the gauge and one of the boiler underneath. Tell us how often you top it up. A photo of any damp patch on a ceiling or wall helps as well.

Good to know

Worcester Bosch CE 207 Fault Code questions

Is low pressure dangerous?

No. The boiler simply refuses to run until pressure is restored. Smell gas? Leave the house, do not use switches, and call the National Gas Emergency line on 0800 111 999. A fault code is never a gas leak, but a smell always is.

The pressure is too high after I topped it up.

Bleed a radiator a little to bring it back down, or ask for help. Over-filling can make the relief valve discharge outside.

How often is too often to top up?

Once or twice a year after bleeding radiators is normal. Monthly means a leak worth finding.

What decides the cost of fixing a pressure leak?

Where the water is escaping. A weeping valve is a short job. A joint under a floor takes longer because boards must come up. The engineer explains which it is before work starts.
